Nice Day in Xiaowulai!

It was a special day! We planned to go to Sanxia in the previous weekend, but anything happens, we went to Xiaowulai(小烏來)at last.

We went there by bus in Daxi. There are designated bus routes especially for Xiaowulai and places near-by, it is convenient for the tourists. Xiaowulai is a well-planned tourist spot, with plenty of restaurants, the vast variety of hostel and designed facilities. It likes the country parks in Hong Kong, which are very comfortable.

We first passed through a red bridge which brought us to the Xiaowulai Skywalk(小烏來天空步道). The fee for the ticket was TWD50, around HKD12.5, it included the entrance of skywalk and the Yunei Waterslide, it was cheap. There were quite many people on the Skywalk, we were a bit afraid of the sudden broken of the Skywalk, and we fell into the pool. The Skywalk located above the Xiaowulai Waterfall and the floor of the skywalk was made of glass so that we could see the waterfall from the top of it. The waterfall was giant. Standing on the Skywalk and look down, we felt like floating in the air, above the waterfall, it was terrific! Some water droplets from the waterfall even splashed on us. It was a great experience.

There were more to be experienced afterwards. We went to the Xiao Wulai Sky Rope Bridge(小烏來天空繩橋). It was a super long and high rope bridge, and it only allowed one person passing through. When we walked on it, we could felt the bridge was shaking as some people were walking on another side of the bridge. It was exciting too! You can see the view of the mountains and also the river below the bridge.
We were scared when we saw the long and high rope bridge.

Then we went to the Yunei Waterside(宇內溪). There were not many people playing in the waterside as these days the weather was not good (Keep raining). The water was clean and crystal clear that we could see the river bed. We entered the water carefully as we didn’t have any clothes to get change! The water was still cool under the sun. But the stones on the river bed were smooth under the long-term abrasion by the river water, and we hardly stand firmly, that’s why we had to hold hands together to strive the balance. When we were walking on the river bed, the small rocks were doing the foot massage for us, and it’s painful and itchy!
We walked into the Yunei Waterside.

At last, it rained, and we took the bus back to Jiaoban Mountain. After buying some food, we took the last bus back to Hsia-yun. It was a fantastic day! We had a great time in Xiaowulai, and it was really highly recommended for relaxing and trying to get in touch with nature.
